JSM, GFTU and GMS organize rally on the 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar

To celebrate 125th birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, thousands of people came out on streets of Ahmedabad on evening of 13th April carrying placards, flags, pictures of Babasahab Ambedkar and Bhagat Singh on the joint call of Gujarat Mazdoor Sabha (GMS), Gujarat Federation of Trade Unions (GFTU), Jan Sangharsh Manch (JSM), and New Socialist Movement (NSM). The rally started at Indulal Yagnik statue, near Rupali Cinema around 9 pm and reached Babasahab Ambedkar’s statue at Sarangpur via Relief Road around 11:30 pm. People were chanting slogans of ‘Save India, Save Constitution’, Azadi with Jai Bhim and Inquilab Zindabad all along. The rally was also welcomed on the way by the minority community near Patwa Sheri, Relief Road with slogans of communal unity. At the end of the rally, Ambedkar Statue was garlanded and many leaders including Amrish Patel of GFTU addressed the rally and spoke about the urgent needs to safeguard the Indian constitution.
